Shropcamp is a conference bringing together people working to deliver public services at a local level across Shropshire, Staffordshire and the UK.
What is ShropCamp?
It is part of the family of localgovcamps taking place across the UK.
We particularly want to look at how service providers (police, health service, councils, social enterprises and charities) can use open data and social media to deliver better services together. And we’ll probably want to talk about the rural dimension to all this.
Who should come?
People who have already used social media or open data to deliver excellent services. Come and offer a workshop. We really want to hear what went well, and less well. We want to find out how you came up with your ideas and what you learned from the project.
Book now (it’s free).
People working with online tools. If you build apps, do fabulous things with social media or make cool things happen with open data we need your insight. If RDF, XML and KML are acronyms that make you tremble with excitement. In short, if you are a geek. Come, offer workshops, join workshops, take part.
Book now (it’s free).
People working to deliver services to the public who are curious about this agenda, or have challenges to raise. Especially if you’re based in in Shropshire, Powys, Cheshire, Staffordshire or the West Midlands because of where it’s taking place but if you deliver services, please come. Request workshops, join in, challenge, learn, take part.
We’ve reserved some tickets just for you. Book now (it’s free).
Who is organising it?
ShropCamp is brought to you by Ben Proctor from the likeaword consultancy, UKITA and Harper Adams University College.
