Our client is an established IT Support Services and Software Development company based in the Midlands. They currently seek to recruit an IT Help Desk Manager to join them.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced help desk professional with a good record of managing and leading a technical team to further their career.

Within this varied, hands-on role the IT Help Desk Manager will provide leadership and guidance to a helpdesk team of six, helping out with taking calls and onsite work when required.

Further duties will include:

- Establishing and enforcing Help Desk service levels agreements
- Analysing performance of Help Desk activities and documented resolutions
- Motivating and conducting performance appraisals of Help Desk staff
- Co-ordinating and/or performing hands-on fixes at desktop level
- Monitoring and testing fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved

To be considered for this position, the IT Help Desk Manager will need to demonstrate that they have a proven commercial background in a helpdesk environment, and that they have gained experience of managing a technical team.

You will also hold an exceptional knowledge of computer hardware and good experience with desktop and server operating systems, in addition to complementary skills such as proven relationship management and the ability to motivate and direct staff.

Though not essential requirements, any Microsoft certifications (MCSE or MCSA), a degree (or equivalent) and/or experience working for an IT provider would be advantageous to your application.
