UK IT User Skills Newsletter - March 2006

e-skills UK has released the latest issue of the IT User Skills Newsletter.

The Sector Skills Council for IT and Telecoms has leadership responsibility on behalf of the Skills for Business network for IT user skills across all sectors. The latest issue focuses on the release of the new and improved e-skills Passport tool and ITQ website.

Following comprehensive employer consultation, e-skills UK have upgraded the current e-skills Passport  to help individuals and employers better identify existing IT user skill gaps and record training progress and qualification achievement.

The newly developed tool has been designed to match ITQ requirements 100% and now provides managers with the opportunity to view and approve their staff’s ITQ or job profiles.  Managers will also have the ability to download individual and team reports, assisting when scheduling staff training and evaluating their organisation’s skills priorities.

The latest issue can be found online.
