"Launch event attracts new members" Following the successful launch event at RAF Museum Cosford, UKita has attracted several new member enquiries... Keith London, Director of Advanced Corporate Training in Hinckley is one of the first to join after attending the event. UKita stand unveiled
The new UKita stand has been unveiled today at SECON 2006, at the Lakeside Conference Centre, Aston University. Where Bob Boyd (CEO) was able to meet our latest UKita member, Julie Eyres of Bronte Business Networks. This day conference is one of a continuing series of annual IT Security Conferences held by BCS Birmingham Branch.
Oracle On Board as 1st Sponsor
Following a meeting earlier this week Bob Boyd is pleased to announce that Oracle have come on board as the 1st Sponsor of UKita.
Wolverhampton based web design agency CPR Works has won a website "Oscar" in Europe's biggest and most prestigious corporate communications contest.
The company took top prize for the "Most Imaginative Design" for the Virtual quarry - www.virtualquarry.co.uk - in the 2006 Communicator's in Business Awards held in Bournemouth. It beat off stiff competition from the "Six Steps to Success" website from BT and also from Global PR and image consultants Trident Communications, who produced A&O online for international law firm Allen and Overy.

Birmingham and the West Midlands is on the brink of becoming a hub of media creativity that should help sustain prosperity for the region for years to come, Apple boss Mark Rogers told an audience in the city recently.
