28/4/06BT to take part in IT Higher Apprenticeships pilot schemee-skills UK (the Sector Skills Council for IT and Telecoms) has established a framework for an IT Higher Apprenticeship scheme in collaboration with leading employers and the Learning and Skills Council (LSC). As part of this pilot scheme, BT will offer 20 IT Higher Apprenticeships in 2006 providing new employees with the opportunity to work towards a foundation degree from their first day of employment.
