The Women’s Enterprise Centre of Expertise (WECOE) is an exciting new initiative for the West Midlands region. Run by Prowess and funded by Advantage West Midlands, WECOE is a strategic body, which supports the development and promotion of women’s enterprise across the region.

It aims to reinforce the economic case for providing women’s enterprise support throughout the region; building on, informing and strengthening the existing infrastructure, and embedding good practice in support organisations. WECOE also wants to understand areas of market failure for women in enterprise, and support organisations to address this. Finally, it seeks to raise the profile of women’s enterprise across the region, by influencing regional and national policy and by supporting a greater range of strategic partners in embedding women’s enterprise into the core of their work. WECOE is based in Birmingham, but covers the whole region.

With this in mind, we want to hear from you.

One of our first activities is to obtain further information about business support provision for women across the region. This will assist in indentifying priority areas for action and forging links with our key stakeholders. Your organization has been identified as one that may be working with, or have an interest in working with women in enterprise. In order for us to ensure that, you are included in our future work and consultations. We would be very grateful if you could please complete the following electronic survey. This will provide us with ‘up to date’ information on which to base our work.

Due to the Easter holiday’s we have extended our closing date to 11 April 2008. It is an online survey, which will take five minutes to complete.
