UKITA E-Adoption Project with IT Futures
31 March 2008
Over the last 10 months, 12 UKita members helped to deliver over £100,000 of government funded assistance to more than 100 companies in the Tourism & Leisure sector ; helping them to take better advantage of the internet for business and marketing purposes.
We had 2 UKita member companies who became clear frontrunners in the amount of work they delivered on the project. It is also clear that these 2 organisations succeeded in generating far more of their own prospects by carrying out their own aggressive and focussed marketing campaigns.
The IT Futures team involved with the E-Adoption Project, consisted of more than 10 people, built up a healthy and productive approach to working together with myself and UKITA . This produced an efficient and enjoyable environment helping to ensure the successfully completed project.
The final targets set for UKITA were as follows
1. Business Assists x 40
2. Internet access or Upgrade x 28
3. Buy/Sell website x 50
4. Email or Mobile adoption x 45
5. Marketing website x 24
6. ISP domain name registration x 64
All targets were finally achieved within budget and timescales.
At the completion of the project I believe both UKITA and IT Futures more than adequately demonstrated the fact that they could easily successfully carry out such a wothwhile project.
