Christmas Dinner Dance a Success

NEWS - UKita Christmas Dinner Dance, December 14th, 2007 - a Success !

Thankyou for those members who supported or attended the great bash at the Crowne Plaza, NEC.

Live music was performed by funky house band - Abnormally Funky who gave the evening soul and a soundtrack to dance the night away too.

Over 160 delegates attended, which included UKita member companies, sponsors and partners such as the West Bromwich Building Society, Talecoms, IT Futures, WMCCM, Aston Science Park and others.

The Best of Branch Awards went to the following:

1) Black Country - Mr Nigel Babb from the University of Wolverhampton
2) Shropshire - Mr Edward Bedell from Interpulse Limited
3) Staffordshire - Mr Steve Silk from Staffordshire University
4) Birmingham – Mr Qasim Majid from Integrous Limited
5) Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire - Mr John Holder from Ruskin Information Systems
6) Hereford & Worcester - Mr Tim Maxfield from Worcester University

This congratulated the efforts of WMita Members (West Midlands) and was sponsored by WMCCM. WMCCM also part sponsored a busy Drinks Reception. Guests also included representatives from AWM.

The West Bromwich Building Society hosted a Champagne Business Card Prize Draw and launched UKita Member Exclusive offers on the night.

An enthralling IT Quiz was hosted by The National Rural Knowledge Exhange who also gave out prizes. Champagne for the best IT joke on the night was provided by Andy Corbett of Perfect Arc.

The evening was hosted by Mr Bob Boyd, the Chief Exec for UKita. Finance Director Mr Fred Noble (ADECS Ltd) gave the evening's speech, thanking all those involved with WMita and  Ukita, directing members into 2008 after re-capping a busy 2007.

Thank you for all of those members who attending or supported in some way and because of you this bash was a success.
