2008 IET Membership Conference- Support for Professional Registration(CEng, IEng & Eng Tech) 8th

I would like to remind you that the IET Membership Conference is approaching rapidly. This is a great opportunity which shouldn’t be missed. Please consider attending and register your interest as soon as possible.

2008 IET Membership Conferences - Support for Professional Registration (CEng, IEng and Eng Tech) 8th and 9th May

The IET is holding two conferences in the West Lakes to offer help and support to employers and employees all over the north to maximise Professional Registration (CEng, IEng or EngTech).

You are invited to attend one day. Each day is designed specifically for either those supporting engineers on the 8th May or for the engineers working towards Professional Registration on the 9th May. Please see below for details. Please extend this invitation to your colleagues.

DAY 1 - Thursday 8th May 2008 at 09.30am – 3.45pm
Lecture Theatre, Westlakes Science & Technology Park

Do you have a role or an interest in supporting people towards Professional Registration with the IET? Are you a Line Manager, Mentor, Sponsor, Registration Advisor or involved in Graduate Recruitment or Development?

Day 1 is aimed for people supporting the development of professional engineers. The session will be opened by Michelle Richmond, Director of Membership and Professional Development with IET and will cover the whole range of subjects to "help the helpers"   All categories of professional registration will be covered (Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer and Engineering Technician).

DAY 2 - Friday 9th May 2008 at 09.00am – 1.00pm
St Bees Management Centre, St Bees School

Are you an engineer or IT professional working in the field of power, electronics systems and software, communications, computing & control, manufacturing or IT? Are you perhaps involved in maintenance, engineering support or design work in these areas? Have you considered pursuing some level of Professional Registration to support you career development, but you are perhaps not sure of the benefits of doing it or of what you need to do?

Day 2 is aimed for anyone interested or already pursuing CEng, IEng or Eng Tech. The conference is designed to help Engineers achieve Professional Registration and will present a range of information and guidance appropriate to the category of registration being sought
