IT Expo will be Business Link's highest profile Event in the Region in 2009.

The target is to attract 1000 visitors from SMEs across the Region to an Event which will inform them about opportunities to reduce costs, increase efficiency or develop business opportunities, motivate them to follow it through and provide them with a service - IT Advisory Service (ITAS) - which can broker links with appropriate suppliers able to deliver the solutions for them.

The IT EXPO will take place at Millennium Point, Birmingham on 31st March 2009 and will be open from 10:00 a.m to 7:00 pm and  will consist of two supportive elements:

1) An Exhibition which will showcase the widest possible range of IT based technologies to support businesses in the whole West Midlands Region.

We are seeking to include examples of:

Business Administration, Open Source software, CRM, Broadband, Mobile SOP systems, CAD

Prototyping, Rapid Manufacturing Process and manufacturing control systems, RFID, ICT company quality certification, web development & hosting

There will also be Sector specific technologies on show relating to medical, environmental, manufacturing, construction, creative and tourism and leisure. We are happy to include any further business relevant technologies.

We already have support from Microsoft, BT, Accredit UK, B2B Centre, iCentrum, IT Futures, Marr Solutions, Technology Management, Outserve Limited, UK IT Association (Ukita).

2) There will be a series of Seminars during the day. The final programme has not been defined but the intention is to provide information covering a wide range of technology based topics emphasising the business improvement opportunities for SMEs. This will be supported by a presentation outlining the support available from ITAS and the specialist team of Advisers who will work on the service. Each Seminar is expected to last 30 - 45 minutes.

We would wish to invite participation from you as an Exhibitor and possible Seminar presenter. The costs for Exhibition space, power and marketing will be covered by Business Link WM. If you need to hire Exhibition Stand or equipment then this would be to your cost, however, if you have your own equipment then this can be used.

The purpose of the Event is to inform and motivate the SME community to adopt IT, it is not intended as an 'on the day' selling opportunity.
