Defence Sector
We are proud to support the Defence sector with innovative and high-risk technical solutions, involving hardware, software, databases, GIS Map displays, 24/7 data feeds, and solutions that run 24/7 solid.
Currently we are working with the MoD, DSTL, RAF, Royal Navy, Singapore Navy, US Navy, and other government departments.
We have a formal methodology for developing software for critical applications that need high reliability levels, and are robust and scalable.
Property Sector
We have experience in supporting Property Maintenance companies with our Job Tracker product. This allows complete automation and recording of job name, description, property details, agent details (managed agents), and the status of the Job. The users keep a blog of activity against each job, which is great in keeping customers in the loop, or for recording problems and exceptions. The users can send emails and text messages from the system to contractors. The system also generates Purchase Order request documents automatically, which can be printed to PDF and emailed to the Managed Agent. Previously the Operations Manager was manually creating these in Word taking half a day per week of his time. Now he just presses one button and sends an email!
With another customer, we have created a HIPs management web-based app for a customer who was a HIPs provider. They provided Legal Packs and EPCs, and are now working on Energy Consulting and sound testing of new properties. The software sends an SMS text message and emails surveyors with appointment details, allowing them to see where and when they are going.
Our miniPLAN software product allows property professionals to create floor plans with extreme precision, and quickly too. See www.miniplan.co.uk for details. This software has been sold all around the world, and is in use with Network Rail, Clugstons, Grosvenor, Gwent Police, CA Design, Laser Surveys, and many other well known Property/Facility Management businesses around the world. We are proud to be a UK exporter, and sell more licences abroad than in the UK.
Engineering and Manufacturing Sector
Froude Hofmann
Froude Hofmann are internationally recognized for their World Class engineered Engine Dynamometers. The sales team creates complex and lengthy technical proposals and cost sheets, and used to do this by copy and paste in Word and Excel. This was prone to error, and the mistakes could be costly.
The borwell team designed and implemented a Proposal Configurator application, that is now used by all of their UK sales team, and even those that are based in the Far East. To generate a proposal now takes less than five minutes, and the corresponding cost sheet is guaranteed to be accurate as it is based on the same data fields as the proposal.
Froude has been a customer for over six years, and each year they request more features and updates to their software.
Lincoln Binns
This company manufacture end panels, cases, and even print onto rack-mountable boxes for Audio, Electronics and Computing equipment. They were struggling to cope with new enquiries, and wanted to allow their customers to send them their CAD designs electronically, 24/7 instead of only in UK office hours by paper and fax.
The borwell team created a web-based system that allows customers to select the appropriate case size and end panels, design the component layout and upload an image or logo. The software actually creates a 2D DXF CAD file, which is then inserted into the Lincoln Binns MRP system as a new job. The job is then nested onto metal and an electronic quote created for the design and customer specified quantity.
Atwell International
This client is a well established supplier to multi-national and independent lift companies. The problem they were encountering was coping with the number of enquiries per month, tracking of stock (from single component part to full sub-assemblies), and tracking each job from enquiry to delivery.
The borwell team created a bespoke stock management system that fulfilled all of their requirements. Their staff can now track their jobs electronically from initial enquiry through ordering parts from suppliers, to invoice and delivery by courier. They can also generate sales and stock reports in an instant, and these are more accurate than their previous paper manual records. These reports are generated as CSV files, and can be analysed in Microsoft Excel.
The delivery note, supplier order form, and job confirmation form are all created at a push of a button, and are automatically output as either a Word or Excel document, saving their staff time, paper, effort and reducing mistakes.
They now use the Job Overview Dashboard in their sales and project review meetings, shown on a 42” screen in the office. |
