Three local businesses have joined the UK IT Association (UKITA). Smart Human Resources, ProActive IT and Micro Business Maintenance recognise the value that networking can bring to their businesses.
Wolverhampton based Smart Human Resources is a growing business run by Elaine Thurlow and Sue Aston who each have over 20 years experience in human resources. They offer support to small businesses working on a retained basis; on specific projects such as redundancy or recruitment; or undertaking investigations into disciplinary and grievance issues. ‘Employment legislation is worrying for many companies without in house HR; we can ease the strain and provide practical advice leaving you free to manage your business.’ Brierley Hill based Pro-Active I.T. Consulting Ltd is run by Chris Hodgkiss and provides computer support to small to medium sized businesses. Chris said: “We prefer to take a preventative approach to computer support – we’re not just there when it goes wrong but aim to eliminate problems before they happen.” Pro-Active can also partners with major telecom providers to supply new phone lines and broadband services. They also offer a host of VOIP solutions. Nigel Mills is one of the founding members of UKITA and has decided that his Wombourne based company, Micro Business Maintenance (MBM), should join UKITA. MBM specialises in hardware and software support; managing IT networks; and online data back up for a range of companies across the UK. He said: “Being a member of an association dedicated to IT companies and abiding to their code of conduct gives existing and potential clients confidence in the quality of the services we offer.” |
