Black Country Members – Can YOU make a difference? At the recent AGM held by the Black Country Branch of UKITA it was noted that the Committee had successfully arranged 8 local networking / information dissemination events over the preceeding year – excluding the previous AGM and Region-wide events. An anlaysis of the attendees of the events clearly showed the networking opportunities that were delivered to the Members, they include ‘headline’ figures such as:
It doesn’t take a genius to work out the business opportunites that may have been missed by Members who didn’t attend the events. Everyone who attended were there on their own free will, looking to meet other people that could help their business, either as suppliers, advisors or even clients. Just think if you attended each event you would have been ‘exposed’ to 98 other ‘receptive’ company leads – and you wouldn’t have made a single cold call either! The Black Country Branch is looking to double the number of Members within 2 years; additional Members means more resources and opportunities for all – a virtuous circle of benefits for everyone. If we can achieve this then the opportunities for all will be significant. lHowever in order to do this we need YOUR input, it takes time and effort for the Committee to arrange events etc on YOUR behalf and as such the Committee are asking all Black Country Members to consider the following: What activities / events would you like to see over the forthcoming year? Are you able to help in organising / promoting / sponsoring events? Do you think it’s time you put something back into the Branch to re-pay the benefits you’ve seen already?
