UK IT Association acquires consultancy and tenders-alert network
UKITA members can now join Skillfair and get a daily tailored feed of IT project tenders free of charge.

Monday 23rd May, UKITA acquired the assets, goodwill and operations of the Skillfair and Help Me Now consultants networks. We have had close links with Skillfair for some time, with discounted memberships and tenders available to each group when joining the other. Skillfair has been a member of UKITA for several years and vice versa.
When owner Gill Hunt decided that after 10 years of her growing the network to its current level of over 1,000 corporate, technology, IT and SME consultants, she wanted to hand the reins on to someone else, it was a great opportunity for UKITA to step in and offer continuity of service to the Skillfair community and at the same time add a valuable benefit for our members.
HOW SKILLFAIR WORKS
Every day, the Skillfair system combs over 1,000 tender and project listing websites in the UK and Europe and these are then hand-curated by expert operators who mark them up with skills required for the tender or project and these are then matched against the skills profile you have entered and a personalised list drops into your mailbox each morning.
It’s the most comprehensive and above all CONVENIENT tendering service available in the UK and UKITA members now get membership of this valuable community as part of their UKITA membership. You can also opt-in to the SME marketplace and you will appear in the Help Me Now site and sign up for the ‘Free Hour Promise’ where potential clients know they can get a free hour of advice and consultancy from you.
Many of you are already providing and charging for advice and consultancy already and others are giving expert advice as part of what you do so why not put your skills into Skillfair and see what happens? It’s a friendly and professional community and you will be able to search for people to bring into your own projects where there is a specialised need. Angela Ireland who looks after the Skillfair community will now be doing support and helpdesk for UKITA and we’re very happy to welcome her and equally Cath Adams who is responsible for hand-tagging of projects.
