The EU's 2014-2020 budget in figures
After 26 hours of negotiations, European heads of state and governments decided on a smaller EU budget for the period 2014-2020. Here are the numbers, compiled by EurActiv France.
The European Council has penned the figures for the 2014-2020 budget. But they await the final decision of the European Parliament, which is expected to mull them over for some 18 months.
The really big loser is Telecommunications (internet) which is cut from just over 9 BILLION Euros to one billion - that's a cut of 86%
