Edward Bedell - Shropshire Branch Chair

Edward started out in IT with Unilever having got a MSc in IT from Aberystwyth University, a hot bed of BCS champions! He became an IT project manager with Unilever focussing on the foods business.

Edward believes not only in the professionalism of the individual (BCS), but also of the company (UKITA). He believes in “giving to receive” and as such is the Shropshire Branch Chairman of UKITA (UK IT Association). UKITA seeks to support, champion and represent SME IT companies and particular to champion their professionalism through its own quality mark.

Andrew Corbett - Committee Member and UKITA Board Director for Shropshire

Andrew is technical director for PerfectArc, which is one of the best known web and online marketing companies in the south of Shropshire.

Hollie Whittles - Committee Member and Secretary

With over eleven years experience in Software Testing and IT training with EDS and Capgemini. Hollie set up a Business Intelligence Consultancy called Purple Frog Systems with her husband which quickly won successful contracts including NASA, Gala Casinos, Lloyds of London, Ministry of Defence and Confused.com.

She has recently set up a new company called Purple Frog IT specialising in Web Design and Internet Consultancy.

Chris Pallett - Committee Member

In 2003, he incorporated Bespoke Computing Ltd to provide innovative computer services to both domestic and commercial markets. Bespoke Computing Ltd now employs a team of 3 and services a UK wide client base. Chris went on to become a regional finalist of the Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, in 2004, later achieving Chartered IT Professional status. In 2008, he took the business to the Shropshire Business Awards as a finalist for the Enterprise award.
